Indian Armour floatation vest represents a Revolutionary New Concept in Body Armour that is fully interchangeable and upgradeable. This unparalleled system uses one set of Armour Panels and several Outer Carriers ( optional) with accessory pockets to euquip the Wearer for routine Water Patrol Duty or any Tactical Assault situation.
The Vest has internal pockets to accommodate Soft Armour Panels (SAP) and Hard Armour Plates (HAP) for the Front and Back and is fitted with a Drag Handle.
The vest has Polyester webbing covers all outer surfaces to accommodate the fitting of accessory pockets that are made to customer specifications. This system can adopt every aspect of a Load Bearing Vest and allows the attachment of other acessories such as Utility Belt, Back Pack, Inflatable Floatation Devices, Hydration Systems and Repelling Harness.
The Outer garment is made of high strength Nylon fabric that is Water Repellent and Tear Resistant - it is available in several solid colours and all camouflage prints.
The
Innermost layer is made with cool Mesh that draws perspiration away from the wearer's body and facilitates airflow to ensure maximum comfort.
Velcro adjustment on the sides and shoulders allow 10cm variation in waist size and 5cm in garment length.
An integrated Body Belt greatly improves the ergonomic characteristics and provides continuous comfort during long periods of wear.
The Vest accommodates the same SAP's as the Tactical Garment. It has been developed for underwater diving operations. Quick release buckles facilitate expedient dumping of the armour in emergency situations and size adjustment.
The garment is made of waterproof PVC coated Nylon Mesh fabric so that it does not hold water.
The Vest has been developed for Waterborne Patrol operations. It accommodated floatation panels that provide 100N of buoyancy and automatically right an unconscious person.
A Drag Handle and Crotch Strap with quick release buckles facilitate the wearer's extraction from the water. It can also be fitted with pockets that contain a rescue kit and survival kit.
The Garment design allows for the interchange ability and upgrading of Armour protection levels according to the customer and operational requirements.
Two types of SAP are offered to satisfy US NIJ 1010.04 level IIIA for 9mm SMG and 44 Magnum:-
The SAP's are encapsulated in waterproof and UV lightproof Nylon fabric that is vacuum-sealed and welded ultrasonically.

The vest has internal pockets to accommodate Front and Back Hard Armour Plates measuring 250 x 300mm. A wide variety of Plates are available depending upon the anticipated ballistic threat and weight parameters. |
